Now, now don't put yourself down. You write yourself not the stars!
Ah but there would be no shadow of you without you...you are the important part!
As the creator of the shadow this could become a quandary, eh!Doubt in your observation/piece is good.ZQ
Somehow I get the image of Plato's cave here.. Where shadows seem so much real than what's real...
Thinking along the lines of R. K. Garon's comment: You gave birth to the shadow, so it is your existence on which it relies. So....it would have NO depth or meaning if it were not for you.
I can grasp the feeling in this poem....but, like the others, agree it is the narrator whose substance informs the poem, not the shadow's. I do know the feeling of invisibility though. A very well written piece. I especially love "no star birthed me" even though I also believe we come from stardust, every one of us.
Yes it can seem so often. Remember we are far better than that.
Wow. This is a powerful and succinct piece. Funny how a two-dimensional expanse of darkness can ignite the mind. And the ending could not be more perfect. Loved it. :)
So true it is...Very thought provoking :)
